Name: Wolf
Age: 2 Seasons
Colony or Outsider?: Colony
Gender: She-Cat
Position: Princess
Picture:upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c6/Blue_Somali_kitten_age_3_months.jpg/235px-Blue_Somali_kitten_age_3_months.jpg
Tattoo: A tribal Style Wolf-Pawprint
Appearance: Wolf is a graceful and pretty young she cat. Her pelt is fluffy, and a sandy grey color with darker on her back and feet that is reminiscent of a breed the two-legs would call a Somali. In this she much resembles her older sister Jade. Like her sister, she is slim, graceful and with average sized but firmly formed paws with dark pads on them that match the color of her nose and clear razor sharp claws. Her coat is silky and flowing and her eyes are handsome, intelligent almond shaped and bronze colored things that always seem to be keeping a sharp eye on what is going on. Unlike her sister, the Princess-Heir, though, her coat is a bit more grey in color. Overall, she carries herself with pride and confidence, tail carried like a plumy banner, though she is young at only two seasons old; she is a Princess, the daughter of the queen, after all.
Personality: Wolf is full of fun and energy, often to be seen racing around and tumbling with other young cats. Sharp witted and always looking for a good time, Wolf often knows far more about what is going on in the colony than she says. Indeed, she might just make a good pair of eyes and ears for her oldest sister , one day. She is full of confidence, as daughter of the queen, and most of the ordinary cats of the colony, even those older than her, defer to her. Her sisters she often simply keeps a quiet eye on, so as to know what they are up to, but NOT so as to call attention to herself. Mostly they ignore her, but Wolf believes that, as her mother told her, it pays to know what is going on around you. Most of the time though, she backs down for very few cats. She is absolutely accustomed to getting her way most of the time; though she is obedient to her mother.
The exceptions to this are her teachers, the Mistress of the Claw and the Mistress of the Hunt. These She-cats, she tries to treat with respect; largely this is out of obedience to her mother, who has told her she is to give them NO nonsense or backtalk.
She isn't cruel to the other members of her clan, she is simply used to the respect 'due to her station', as she would say it. She cares about them, as a Princess should for her subjects; but as one of the youngest Princeses in the colony, there is very little that she can actually do beyond speaking to her mother or elder sisters on their behalf. That said, though she pays careful attention to eldest half-sister Jade, and sometimes her mother, when they are handing out punishments and judgement, Wolf has never been called upon to do those duties. She is often seen following Jade about, though, when she doesn't have duties of her own to do; namely training and learning all the Mistresses have to teach her.
The thought has occurred to her on occasion, what would have happened to her had she been born male. It saddens her that her brothers are now kept to busy to spend time with her anymore and that they are not to be taught as she is. Thy never seemed that bad or dangerous to her. Still, even if it seems unfair, she is only one small cat, what can she do in the face of many years of tradition? All told, she is generally cheerful and upbeat, though not flighty. She has a quick and clever mind that makes for a relatively quick learner. Wolf knows that she has a good situation as a daughter of the queen and a favorite sister of the Heiress to the colony; and for those things she is thankful.
She is closer to her father, too, than many of the queens daughters; and visits him as often as she can.
The little Princess does try to be relatively polite, though she is more outspoken about her opinions than her sisterand less afraid to show and tell others what she is thinking and feeling than her older sisters often are. Being the 'baby' she isn't viewed as a threat and is allowed more freedom of behavior. That is, with the exception of her half-sisters besides Jade. Wolf has no part in any of the schemeing, plotting and maneuvering that go on among her sisters and nor does she really want it. Indeed, of the queens daughters, the Heiress to the rulership is the only one that Wolf really trusts and, to her opinion, the best one for the job. That said, it isn't one that Wolf would ever want for herself.
History:
---Family
------Mother: The Queen of the Colony (Open)
------Father: Storm (a slave to the queen)
------Sisters and Halfsisters: The Heir, Jade; any number of Others.
------Brothers and Halfbrothers: Three fullbrothers, Onyx and Others
---Background: Wolf, being one of the younger daughters of the queen; has been largely ignored for all of her life. She is in no contention, as it stands now, to inherit the command of the colony. That means that, although she is to be taught too hunt and fight as all she-cats in the colony are, under the direction of the Mistresses of the Hunt and Claw; she has largely been spared the plotting, scheming and vieing for power and favor from their mother that have characterized many of her older half sisters. This has always been the way of the Princesses of the colony, but Wolf, so far as her elder sisters are concerned, is no threat to them. This is probably just as well for he, because the backbiting, gossip and other assorted scheming that they indulge to try to displace rivals can be quite vicious.
For this reason, Wolf often mistrusts most of her older half-sisters; with the exception of Jade, Heiress of the Queen, who has always been fair and kind to her.
Wolf's father, Storm, was a handsome young grey pelted Tomcat who was dragged into the colony's camp by a young She-cat who had gone out to bring in new slaves on her fifteenth moon as tradition required of all young She-cats. The queen, however, had seen the handsome tom and taking a liking to him, determined to claim him for herself. Though some of the other she-cats had coveted the handsome new slave as well, the queen's word was law and no one argued when she took him for herself.
In due time, of course, a litter of new kits was born, but to the queen's disappointment, only one of the young ones was a she-kit. As was the custom of the queen, the kits were given to a nursing she-cat to raise, although she visited her new daughter often. Storm, it is said, works as an especial favorite slave of the queens; although the young she-kit is only occasionally allowed to meet with her father. Wolf always looks forward to those times, which the queen only allows on occasion; most of the time he is too busy with the various tasks the queen gives him. This is as far as Wolf really knows of the condition of the toms. Storm's fate, as a favorite of the queen, is not such a bad one; and he has less cause to complain than some of the others.
Wolf, be it said, as one of the 'babies' of the queen has always been particularly indulged and catered to by the colony; although she will probably never be queen, which suites Wolf just fine as she views that as a huge task and a lot of responsibility. Although Wolf has been taught during that time what it means to be a She-cat in the colony, and a Princess at that, her second season has brought big changes for her. No longer will she be allowed to tumble about with her brothers all day, but now will have to begin to train and to learn. She is saddened by her brother's disappearance to the main nest, while she is to be taught hunting and fighting. She knows that she has always been taught that toms must be kept under control and ruled over by the She-cats, but her brothers had never seemed so dangerous to her. All that said, she is going into her training with a great deal of questions and uncertainty tumbling around inside her graceful and clever head.
