I have compiled here a list of traditions which are common in the colony.
Normal She-cats:
-All she-cats have special tattoos on their left shoulders, depending on the name they were given, while specially ranked cats have tattoos on their foreheads.
-From the age of two seasons (6 moons, each season is 3 moons) a she-cat will be trained in hunting and in fighting.
-The training is communal, no mentor-apprentice system here. All cats are taught by the Mistress of the Hunt and the Mistress of the Claw.
-At the age of fifteen moons a she-cat must leave and embark on a search for a tom which she will bring back as another slave for the colony. She must either succeed or never return. This is a test of her abilities and her worthiness to be part of the colony, as well as to show her exactly what it is like outside the colony.
Queen and Princesses:
-The Queen and Princess Heir are to be respected and defered to.
-The Queen is in charge of punishments, judging and keeping the colony organized and efficient, so that all (she-cats) are fed, protected and happy.
-The Princess Heir takes over for her mother when the queen dies, reaches the age of 35 seasons, or decides to retire.
The symbol of both the Queen and the Princess Heir is:
-Daughters of the queen are important and respected, and treated with precedence, though not at the same level as the Queen and Princess Heir.
Mistress of the Hunt:
- She is in charge of teaching all colony she-cats how to hunt, using various different tecniques depending on environement, prey, season, whatnot.
- She may choose a learner whenever she wishes, but for her leaner to become a full mistress, she must retire first.
-The symbol of the Mistress of the Hunt is a wing.
Mistress of the Claw:
-The Mistress of the Claw is in charge of teaching the colony she-cats the fighting skills they need to protect themselves and their group. She knows many different tecniques for many different situations and terrains.
-The Mistress of the Claw may take on a leaner whenever she wishes, but before the learner can become a full Mistress, the previous one must retire.
-Usually before she becomes a full Mistress of the Claw, a learner must travel alone for two seasons, to learn whatever she can from outside and gain more experience, as well as learn what the more current threats are.
-The symbol of the Mistress of the Claw is a curved claw.
Healers:
-There are two healers in the colony at any time, they are allowed learners, but once those learners reach the age of 10 seasons, the healers must retire and give their place to their learners.
-Each healer has their own personal slave, from the time they are learners until they or the slave dies. If the tom dies first then he is replaced.
-Healers are allowed to have kits, so long as there is at least one healer available at any time to take care of the colony. It is not uncommon that a healer chooses a successor from her kits.
-Healers are given the privilege of giving each kit their tattoo, once their name is decided upon, and use berries, leaves, bark, and flowers to make their many different paints.
-The symbol of the healers is a three part leaf with a dot on the upper left and lower right of it.
Scouts:
-Scouts are chosen by the Head Scout at birth, when the need for another arises.
-Scouts guard the mainland side of the land-bridge from intruders.
-Scouts wander the no-tail colony, and other lands, seeking news to keep the colony updated.
-There are three scouts at a time, a Head Scout and two normal scouts.
-The symbol of the scouts is a Triangle

-There are less toms than she-cats in the colony, so as to maintain control over them, so that they will not be a threat.
-At two seasons of Age, tom kits are given to the older toms to be taught how to live in the clan in the place they are in.
-Toms are the ones to do the work of watching the kits, fetching moss for bedding, caring for elderly and nursing she-cats, run errands for she-cats, or do anything else asked of them.
-Toms should not hunt, or use battle skills, should not even know them.
-Toms sleep in the main cavern, and are not allowed the luxury of mossy nests.
-Toms are to obey any and all orders given to them by she-cats.
-Toms are used to practice battle skills on, and are not to complain, else they be punished more severely.
-Toms are not treated if they get sick, but must instead fend for themselves and hope they do not die.
-Punishments for breaking rules and defying the she-cats are beatings, torture and death.
